I'd bet any amount of money, that most of you were able to quickly fill in the blank and are nodding away in agreement as you're reading this. I know for sure that I am super guilty of this Superwoman syndrome. Don't get me wrong, that's one quality that I thank God for giving to women. We are capable of wearing multiple hats successfully without missing a beat. The only catch is that at some point we MUST make time to take all the hats off, ignore all of the tasks and just be...
With October being Women's Health Month, I think it's fitting that we all take a pause to check in with ourselves. My mentor says that we all need 5 minutes of silence EVERY DAY to just be still, be silent, and connect with our own inner souls. Will you treat yourselves to 5 minutes a day?
I know, this is pushing it, but what if you figured out a way to schedule 1 hour out of the whole week just for you. Maybe a nice bubble bath, a nap, yoga, your favorite tv show *coughs*...Scandal :). You are so worth it! Stress is such a silent killer not only to your physical and mental health, but it even manifests in your skin and your hair. Did you know that extended stress can cause your hair's growth phase to pause or end prematurely? So if not for your heart, than why not for your hair!
Ok but seriously Wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, however it suits you best, take a moment to check in with yourself. Take this opportunity to create a new self pampering habit that will assist throughout this Holiday season and well into next year.
